Introduction to Sensory Play – Talk with Eilis O’Toole

March 24, 2021 11:00 AM - 11:30AM

This talk is aimed at parents and guardians or caregivers of babies and toddlers, in how to set up an invitation to engage babies and toddlers in open ended sensory play.

Sensory play is a way of engaging babies and young children in open-ended play that heightens their senses and encourages independent learning, imagination and creativity.

During this Zoom workshop Waterford artist Eilis O’Toole will give parents and guardians ideas and advice on how to engage their child in sensory play. Using many ingredients and materials found in your home, Eilis will give advice on how to plan and provide sensory play experiences. By exposing young children to new and interesting play experiences, it helps them to learn more about their world in a curious and natural way, through their senses.

Date: Wednesday 24th March (during the Easter holidays)

Time: 11:00 AM -11:30 AM
