The South East Engineering Festival runs from 4th – 11th March 2022 and teaches us more about the work engineers do, the careers for engineers in Ireland and the courses available to study engineering in the South East’s new Technological University!
Organised by Calmast and Waterford Institute of Technology, the Festival is holding a competition for primary school children to show diversity in engineering and to let children know that anyone can have ideas and can be creative.
⚙️ Engineers design complicated things that make our everyday lives easy.
⚙️Engineers then lead teams to build and make these things.
The sort of things that engineers design are buildings, bridges, roads, water supplies, electricity supplies, mobile phones, computers and much more.

The festival takes place during STEPS Engineers Week which takes place from Saturday 5 – Friday 11 March.
