‘My Gift to You’ was a writing project organised by Waterford Libraries to support people over 65 years of age to put together their memoirs and personal stories as a meaningful archive for their families.
Our participants worked with historian Maxine Keoghan to build their recollections into individual memoirs, which, with the help of a team that included an editor, designer, printer and book binder, have now been made into beautifully bound hardback books. These books will be presented to the participants and their family members.
Join us on Tuesday 20th December from 7:00pm in Ardkeen Library to help launch these beautiful new memoirs and celebrate the achievements of memoirists.
Historian Maxine Keoghan along with Executive Librarian Tracy McEneaney will explain how the project was organised and how the participants were supported.
