We are delighted to invite libraries, childcare and schools to register now for our interactive virtual workshops exploring our new book “Céad Míle Fáilte” created with local families from migrant communities and Environmental Artist Sean Corcoran.
Sean, who runs The Art Hand, has created a live presentation that gives an insight into the workshops and collaborations that produced the book as well as the how the universal language of art can be used as a tool to foster inclusivity in society. These workshops were supported by funding from the Dormant Accounts Fund.
Sean will show a 10 minute ‘behind the scenes’ film of the workshops in action as well as a sneak peak of the book itself. You will see how a wide variety of natural and recycled materials were used to create a series of temporary artworks. The techniques used are very simple but effective.
To book a Céad Míle Fáilte workshop, please contact Mary on 0761 102696 or mcarbery@waterfordcouncil.ie.
