The local launch of “Escape from War to Live in Peace” by Dalal Sayed will take place on Monday 16th of May at 3:30pm in Cappoquin Library. All are very welcome to attend.
Author Dalal Sayed
Born in Damascus, Dalal Sayed was in the midst of her studies as a primary school teacher when the Syrian civil war in 2011 escalated and forced her to flee. She has not seen her relatives since. For the next six years she was on a perilous journey with her family to find safety. She arrived in Ireland in 2017 speaking no English. She now lives in Co. Waterford with her husband Amer and three children.
