Running Effective Heritage Projects by Willie Whelan of Déise Design and Waterford County Museum

As part of a series of online talks for National Heritage Week 2021, Willie Whelan of Déise Design and Waterford County Museum will deliver a talk on how to run your own heritage project.

Willie has authored/edited several history books and led the team that won Heritage Council Publication of the Year in 2005 and Best Small Museum Website (worldwide) at the Museums and the Web Conference in Albuquerque 2006.

Willie has published eight books and was involved in the delivery of information signage in Dungarvan, the World War 1 Memorial, the Grattan Square Heritage Plaques Project, Waterford Image Archive, and sourcing funding for the redevelopment of Waterford County Museum. He sits on the Dungarvan Town Centre Management Committee and the Decade of Centenaries Committee of Waterford Council. He is also County PRO for Waterford Ladies Gaelic Football Association since 2017 and handles all media contacts for the association.

This is a free online event, which is part of National Heritage Week, booking is required.
