Heritage Week 2022 runs from Saturday 13th – Sunday 21st August and has become one of Ireland’s largest cultural events. After two years of virtual events heritage groups and communities across the City and County are eagerly anticipating this year’s programme with events organised for all ages and interests including talks, walks, exhibitions and workshops.
Waterford Libraries have a great number of events lined up including an interactive geology exhibition in Central Library, exhibitions on the Civil War period, guided walking tours of Dunmore East and Kilmacthomas and Tramore Back Strand, biodiversity workshops with the very entertaining Dale Treadwell and a talk on Irish herbs and folklore in Dungarvan Library.
Details of all events are available on www.heritageweek.ie or through the printed events guide published by Waterford City and County Council available from all Waterford Libraries and heritage venues.
National Heritage Week is a Heritage Council Programme supported by Waterford City and County Council and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
