Identifying the Past – Frank Snaps Photography Exhibition

September 10, 2018 to September 28, 2019

During the 1950s/60s, Frank Rolls was a street photographer, using the name Frank Snaps. He traveled around Waterford, Tramore and places in the general hinterland, taking photographs of people on the streets, the prom, the strand, during various processions and events, in dance halls and at carnivals.

The Index Gallery, Central Library is delighted to host Identifying the Past – The Photography of Frank Snaps, an exhibition of some of these photographs from Monday 10 September – Saturday 28 September.  Members of the public are invited to help in identifying people – as there were no records kept of the people that were photographed. The exhibition is coordinated and curated by Andy Kelly and may be viewed during normal library opening hours.
