Microgreens Workshop in Ardkeen Library on Wednesday 22nd of July at 2pm.
Facilitate by Aileen Drohan from the Walton institute (SETU).
The workshop is on the basics of how to plant, care for and harvest microgreens; which are nutrient-rich, young vegetable greens that are harvested early and offer intense flavours and a spectrum of nutrients.
Growing these foods at home can help reduce the climate impact of food production and food waste.
This workshop is a partnership between Europe Direct Waterford, Waterford Libraries and Walton Institute (SETU).
