The Herbs of Great Power – Talk with Connecting to Nature

Wildflowers have played an important part of Irish life and folklore for centuries. They featured in laws, were used in traditional medicine, and even worn as magical charms. Of these wildflowers, the most important of all were The Herbs of Great Power. These were 7 wildflowers that nobody could do without. Their uses were numerous, and their powers of healing and magic were legendary. In this talk, Patrick Croke, Technical Officer at Connecting to Nature will look at each one of these herbs and explain their significance and their uses in Irish folklore and traditional medicine.
