Local Studies Department – April Talks Series

Waterford Libraries Local Studies Department is delighted to present a series of April talks available online. The series begins with Exploring Waterford’s Magdalene Heritage a talk presented by Dr. Jennifer O’Mahoney and Dr. Kate McCarthy from Waterford Memories Project on  Thursday 15th April at 4:00pm.

The second talk in the series is Digitising our Local Heritage: Europeana in Focus, with speakers Adrian Murphy, Collection Engagement, Europeana Collections Manager Europeana Foundation Killian Downing, Europeana Members Council Member, Archivist Dublin City University, Dr. Kathryn Cassidy, Technical Team at the Digital Repository of Ireland and Joanne Rothwell, Waterford City and County Archivist (Chair)

The final talk in the series is Ports, Past and Present, presented by Prof. Claire Connolly and  James Louis Smith from the Ports, Past and Present Project on Wednesday 28th April at 4:00pm.

 

All talks are free and presented online (via Zoom), booking required through Eventbrite.
