‘Active Speech: Sharing Scholarship on Teresa Deevy’ constitutes the first conference focusing on Deevy’s work and aims to provide a forum to bring together ongoing scholarship analysing her work.
Supported by Waterford Institute of Technology and Maynooth University ‘Active Speech’ will take place online from Friday, 12 to Friday 19 February 2021. The conference is open to emerging and established Deevy scholars.
Conference papers and two pre-recorded practitioner panel discussions will be available in various formats from Friday, 12 February and keynote presentations by Prof. Christopher Morash and Prof. Ann Shanahan will be live streamed on Friday, 19 February 2021. The keynote presentations will be followed by live discussion.
Irish Sign Language translators will interpret the practitioners’ panel discussions, the keynote presentations and the live discussion.
