Do you Choose To Challenge this International Women’s Day?
Waterford Integration Services, Europe Direct Waterford and Waterford Libraries are coming together online to host a morning with an inspirational line-up of women who have chosen to challenge. This event coincides with International Women’s Day and will be on Wednesday 10th March from 11:00am – 12:30pm.
This very special line-up of speakers and performers includes Waterford writer Megan Nolan, spoken word artist Sasha Terfous, Health Advocate and performer Osas Iyamu Usideme, street artist Caoilfhionn Hanton, singer-songwriter Minnie Marley as well as inspirational speakers Dr Lucy Michael from IHREC, Toluwani Akaehomen, business woman and global leader, Jennifer Tejada retired Chief of Police and Anne Nolan from Waterford Integration Services. Journalist Dymphna Nugent will MC the event which will highlight and celebrate women’s achievements.
International Women’s Day reminds us that a challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. From challenge comes change, so let’s all choose to challenge.
