Waterford Integration Services and Europe Direct Waterford are pleased to invite you to an event organised in partnership with IOM Ireland, (International Organisation for Migration), to raise awareness of the Undocumented living in Waterford and the Southeast of Ireland.
As humanitarian organisations we respond to issues of discrimination and exploitation of certain groups when trying to access employment and enterprise opportunities and other services. In recent times the Covid-19 pandemic has further highlighted the inequalities, disparities, and discrimination that the undocumented face when seeking access to services and employment or when trying to exercise their right to a safe and secure workplace.
Through our various services and programmes, we support excluded and marginalised groups, and contribute to social cohesion and policy development. Through this plenary and online event, we want to raise awareness of the plight of the undocumented and provide a forum for dialogue and information exchange.
It will feature contributions by a range of guest speakers and representations from civil society organisations:
