Waterford Libraries would like to introduce the new Library Mascot… Ragnall !
Ragnall’s name was chosen by Jack from Our Lady School of Mercy NS, Stradbally.
Jack said:
“Reginald was the Viking King of Waterford in the 11th Century. The Tower is named after him. Ragnall is the Irish name for Reginald so its a good name for a Waterford mascot!”
Watch our for Ragnall in our library branches and on school visits!
Thanks to artist Wayne O’Connor and Outpost Creations for the help designing and creating Ragnall.
