This Little Light of Mine – Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott at Carrickphierish Library.
WIT Libraries in association with Suirway Bus company, Waterford Educate Together National School, Waterford City & County Council Libraries and the Immigrant Council of Ireland would like to cordially invite you to ‘This Little Light of Mine: Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott’ exhibition which will be hosted at Carrickphierish Library from Monday 18 September to Friday 27 October.
The exhibition is themed on the religious hymn and civil rights anthem ‘This Little Light of Mine’. Featuring an exhibit of story board narratives and interactive elements regarding the famous bus boycott, it depicts the history of a watershed moment within the history of the Southern States of America Civil Rights movement.
This exhibition is being made available to all primary and secondary schools in the South-East region, with three daily sessions at 10am, 12 noon and 2pm during September and October. Advanced booking is required to facilitate access.
