Have you got outgrown baby or toddler clothes?
Bring them to our ‘Little Tots Clothing Swap’ and exchange them for something ‘new’ to refresh your child’s wardrobe in an affordable and planet-friendly way!
Date: Thursday 25th September
Venue: Carrickphierish Library, Gracedieu, X91 YK12
Time: 3pm – 7pm
All items must be clean, in good wearable condition, and can be dropped off at Carrickphierish Library from 15th – 23rd September.
Expectant Parents – we know you don’t have clothes to swap yet, you’ll get 5 tokens to take items away on the day !
We all know how fast young children outgrow their clothes, but did you know that in Ireland, 3 out of 5 pieces of new clothing end up in landfill within the first year of being bought?
Or that it takes 2,700 litres of water to produce a single cotton T-shirt — the equivalent of what one person drinks in two years!
Parents often have to buy new clothes for babies & toddlers that are worn only a few times before becoming too small – which creates waste and has an enormous impact on the environment.
By swapping used clothes and giving them a longer life, you will help to reduce the amount of clothing sent to landfill and contribute to our zero emissions goals in a pocket friendly way.
What kinds of clothes should I bring?
Babygrows (bundle of 3) | Sleepsuits | Jumpers | Trousers & Dungarees
Dresses & Skirts | T-shirts & long sleeved tops | Coats | Hats, Scarves & Gloves | Vests, Baby Blankets & Muslin Cloths | Halloween Costumes & Christmas Themed Clothing.
All the items dropped off will be swapped for tokens to be used during ‘Little Tots Clothing Swap’
Please only bring clean, good quality things you’d be happy to take home yourself. We will check all items at drop-off for quality to ensure a useful and enjoyable swapping experience for all.
No toys, gear or furniture please.
Unswapped items will be either donated to a local children’s charity or kept for future swaps.
