A FREE talk on Self Care by Dr. Sabine Eggers, Community Pharmacist and Eileen English Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
Being an adult sometimes comes with overwhelming responsibilities and the only way to manage it and be at peace with you is to practice self-care. Knowing what self-care is, is essential and this talk will focus on the following topics.
1) What is Self-Care, what does it mean to me, personally.
2) Understanding why it is important to put yourself first, and why it is selfish not to.
3) The benefits of self-care and the health gains, physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually for you personally.
By the end of the talk it is hoped that you will have gained insight into yourself as a person and your learned behaviors, values, beliefs, attitudes and challenge your own thinking on them, do they still serve you. To know the importance of self-care to equip you in your daily life to face the challenges life brings.
