The new Waterford City & County Library Service Development Plan was adopted in accordance with the Local Government Act 2002 (Section 78) at the Waterford City and County Council Plenary meeting held on Thursday 12th June 2025.
“People, Spaces, Connections. Waterford City and County Council Library Service Development Plan 2025 -2030” sets out a vision for the strategic direction of library services in Waterford City and County for the next five years.
This plan is based on three themes – People, Spaces and Connections. These themes are underpinned by actions which aim to improve the library service in Waterford and in turn lead to enhancements in the lives of the population of the City and County through engagement with literature, culture, knowledge, creativity and technology.
