Re-Work Re-Use Re-Create Programme in Tramore Library

It’s time to get creative with textile and fabric waste.
Do you want to learn how to create from secondhand materials?

Tramore Library and Creative Waterford are offering a number of workshops to help people to find creative ways of working with pre loved fabric and textiles.

 

Re-Create Book Art with textile Artist Ann Nolan
With advice and collaboration with the librarian we will choose a popular book and in the session reinterpret it using scraps of fabric and by hand stitching and manipulation techniques create a fabric ‘book’.

Workshops take place on:

  • Monday 21st  April at 3:00pm
  • Tuesday 22nd April at 3:00pm

An introduction to embroidery and applique techniques with Lisa Hodge from Totes Upcycled.
These four sessions will provide you with the skills to Re-Work preloved fabric into one of a kind pieces.

Sessions take place on Thursdays:

  • 14th , 21st , 28th May at 6:00pm
  •  4th June at 6:00pm
