CREATIVE ART FOR SURVIVORS’ EXHIBITION
Right of Place Second Chance is Ireland’s largest organisation supporting survivors of Institutional abuse in Ireland and their families. Right of Place Second Chance will be holding an Art exhibition in the Central Library Waterford called Creative Art for Survivors.
The official launch will be on Thursday 13th April at 11.30am in Central Library Waterford and will be opened by the Metropolitan Mayor of Waterford Cllr Jason Murphy. Refreshments provided.
Right of Place Second Chance aim to be a caring, supportive, non-judgemental safe space for our clients and offer them a creative experience they can be proud of. We also hope that this exhibition has inspired them to continue to be creative and has delivered a therapeutic effect while exploring their artistic side & built confidence in the process.
The art classes were funded by a Creative Ireland Waterford grant.
Art teacher Jennie O’Neill facilitated the weekly art classes.
The exhibition Creative Art for Survivors will run from April 13th to April 28th in the Central Library Waterford.
