Towers & Tales is an annual festival celebrating the magic of Children’s books, stories and illustration in the enchanting surroundings of Lismore Castle. To make sure everyone has the chance to experience Towers and Tales we have designed a School’s Outreach Programme, which takes events into schools and venues across the region.
The Schools Programme takes place on Friday 28th April with a fantastic line up of authors and illustrators. Meeting an author/illustrator in person is the perfect way to encourage young minds to explore the world of books. This year Waterford Libraries is coordinating the Towers & Tales Schools Programme.
Events will be hosted in Lismore Castle and libraries across the county with school groups invited to go visit them! This will allow multiple classes from different schools to attend an author event at the same time: maximising the number of children participating in an unforgettable creative experience.
A couple of schools will also be selected to have an author/ illustrator visit their school on the day. All of the School’s Events are FREE and will take place during school hours.

If you & your class would like the opportunity to meet an amazing author/ illustrator at one of these fantastic fun events please contact us with your 1st and 2nd preferences. Closing date for expressions of interest is Friday 14th April.
