Waterford Volunteer Centre Information Outreach at Dungarvan Library
Friday 1st April from 11am – 3pm
All welcome!
The Waterford Volunteer Centre is coming to Dungarvan Library and they want to meet you.
Are you interested in volunteering but don’t know where to start?
Are you part of a community group or organisation that involves volunteers and would like support on areas like volunteer recruitment and volunteer management?
Call in and learn more about how they can help support volunteering.
The Waterford Volunteer Centre was launched in 2021 and aims to strengthen and support volunteering across Waterford. We are funded by the Department of Rural & Community Development, and we are an affiliate of Volunteer Ireland, that national support body for volunteering. We are part of a network of 29 volunteer centres across Ireland. We provide information and guidance to individuals that are interested in volunteering. We manage I-VOL, the national database, for Waterford. Through this, we can link up volunteers with organisations that require volunteers for long- or short-term volunteering opportunities. We also provide a Garda vetting service for organisations that may not have their own authorised signatory. We offer training and support around volunteer management and volunteer recruitment and hold networking and information sessions for both volunteers and organisations.
