Writers at Waterford Libraries, in collaboration with Creative Ireland, is proud to present a unique and inspiring writing course designed especially for mothers at all stages of the parenting journey.
This six-week, in person course, will provide a supportive space for mothers to explore their stories, express their experiences, and connect through the written word and will take place in Carrickphierish Library.
The course will run in two parts:
• Phase 1: A 4-week series of sessions beginning on 16th May at 11 am, offering guided writing exercises, reflection prompts, and opportunities for group sharing.
• Summer Break: A pause in programming to allow time for personal journaling, creative processing, and continued reflection.
• Phase 2: The course will resume in the autumn for two additional weeks, inviting participants to return with new insights and writing to share and shape.
Whether you’re a new mother, an experienced parent, or somewhere in between, this course welcomes you to explore motherhood through creative writing in a nurturing and non-judgmental environment.
Spaces are Free, but Limited. Please contact library@waterfordcouncil.ie or call 051 849696 to book your free space.
This initiative is proudly supported by Creative Ireland, championing creativity in communities throughout the country.
