The Waterford Harvest Festival is thrilled to announce a special colouring competition for children aged 7–11 years, in partnership with Waterford Libraries. This year’s theme, “Sustainable Food”, encourages young people to explore the importance of making mindful choices about what we eat, reducing food waste, and understanding where our food comes from.
Sustainability lies at the heart of the Waterford Harvest Festival, embedded across every aspect of our actions. This competition is a fun and creative way for young people to engage with these important ideas and express their vision of a sustainable future through art.
We are delighted to partner with Waterford Library Services on this exciting initiative,” said Martin Nolan ( festival director) “We look forward to seeing the wonderful and imaginative designs from our young people and celebrating their creativity at the festival.”
Pick up a competition colouring sheet in your local library or download a copy.
Closing date for entries: Friday 5th September
Entries can be returned to any branch of Waterford Libraries, and all submitted artworks will be displayed at the festival.
Winners will be announced on Sunday, 7th September, at the Festival Denomination Tent, where prizes will be presented.
For more information on entry details, please contact your local library.
